Hot Summer, Hotter Laughs

El Paso for the second time this summer was fun. Redemption time from the contest. I got some bitter emails about jokes I posted on my website, when it came to dealing with my frustrations. If something bothers You on my website.....Stop visiting my fucking website. If going somewhere upsets you, Have fun being a masochist.

El Paso was fun as hell, I got to work a 2 man show with Headliner Angel Salazar. He was Chi-Chi in the Movie "Scarface". I've heard a ton of stories of this guy, and some of them lived up to them. I sold some #NerdcoreComedy T-Shirts and CD's. Made a pretty good grip. both in cash and credit card sales. (Hey IRS, this is a bit I'm working out). At one particular show, some drunk guy (who later got kicked out) tipped me, he totally slid $100 in twenties in my hand. The Hotel room accommodations were sweet too. I enjoyed my little staycation, it was a nice change of pace and scenery from the hustle and bustle of San Antonio. I caught up on some writing, and made sure to record and listen to all my sets that week. Spent sometime in the pool and hot tub too! The Hotel had a shuttle service, 24hrs baby! So I went to Wal Mart and picked up couple things to keep in my Hotel while binge watching Shark Week documentaries. Having 2 feature weeks back-to-back made me feel like a real comic. On my last day performing, The Comedy Clubs owners sons treated me to a fantastic meal at a German restaurant in El Paso. I know right? Who knew there's a German restaurant in El Paso. The meal was great, and so was the company.

The Day before I left, a Notorious Mexican Drug Cartel Boss, El Chapo escaped a Mexican Prison. Thats the only reason I could think of my bag getting searched, not once but twice on my Greyhound bus trip. 3 plain clothed El Paso Detectives asked to search my bag, and asked me some questions. Am I traveling alone, where I'm going, How long I was in El Paso. I told them I was working the Comic Strip as a Comedian. The Detectives asked me to tell them a joke. I responded with "Am I being detained?" They laughed. #WhitePrivilege. While getting on the bus, I saw a gentleman with facial tattoos. Im not talking about the average neck tattoo Im used to seeing, but tattoos where his eyebrows, mustache should be. No teardrops straight up paragraphs ON HIS FACE.
My 5.11 MOAB 10 Bag is awesome, there's a secret pocket in there that I keep a sizeable knife and my cash that I made in El Paso. After 2 checks from security and El Paso PD. My knife wasn't found. Why Would I need a knife traveling? Maybe because of Dudes with faces that look like a 2 year old attacked a wall with crayons all day.

With my El Paso money I bought a kickass PA system, so now I can put on shows wherever I want too. Maybe like this Saturday at MAAR's Pizza.  Yeah Im pretty proud of myself. Why only get paid to perform, when You can get paid more to put on the dam thing. Plus now I can rent out the PA system to other comics, and itll pay for itself over time.

Last Tuesday at Zombies was a blast. It was so much fun with 2 comics that I adore so much like Jay and Joe. They both have a warped, twisted sometimes demented sense of humor that's protecting their sweet inner souls. The're really sweethearts. All the other comics on the Show did Great Too. Jake Lehle is progressing Nicely and getting better and better everytime I see him. Jennie Stencel, is a KENS5 News personality and it was great seeing her in a different environment. She kicked ass on stage. Not Pictured is tiny Philipino man child Regis, he did great too, I was just too scatterbrained to take pics of him. Later this month Ill be buying a Kickass Canon DSLR camera, So I can take some professional looking shots of all my shows. We keep making new fans at every Braindead Comedy Show. Its fun building something, that everyone wants to be a part of. I keep getting compliments from people watching the shows, and comics telling me how great the room is. Braindead to me is a perfect example of "You get out, What You put in.". I owe a lot to The owner of Zombies Bar, Steve. Steve is easy to work with. Plus it helps he makes my shirts and prints my fliers/business cards. This month we picked up a new sponsor, Dresden Cafe, a German Deli down the road from my house. I couldn't be happier bringing them into the mix with all my other local sponsors.

Monday Nights, I'm gonna try my damndest at making #ROFL_Tron a success. I want to give a shit so the other comics will give a shit about it too. Open Mics, should be where vets try new things and newbies work on their material, delivery and stage presence. Got so many Ideas for Comedy Shows, its a pain in the ass, to track 'em all down.

Coming Soon, Outburst Comedy. Whats Outburst Comedy? You'll find out shortly.
