Insert Date here... Don't Forget.

This last week at LOL was a Blast, the two other comedians I worked with couldn't be nicer, genuine and funnier. They were a honor and a privilege to work with. I had a great time and a learned a lot watching the two of them perform. The headliners' interactions and excitement were hard to match. He rocked it out. I'm glad I still have a lot to learn, because both the feature and headliner made it look easy. We didn't get to hang out too much outside of the club, but still made the most of it. They were complimentary about my stage presecnce and set. Its always good to hear nice things. I gotta remember to stay humble. No one wants to hang out or watch a cocky asshole on stage. Those acts fizzle out quickly.

Sunday night the feature did party with us and got a decent buzz on. We certainly "Bro'd" out. Before we hit the bars this couple bought us a bunch of shots. This lady paid $25 for me to enjoy a triple shot of Jagermeister. We partied it up hardcore at Dixies, I dropped him off. The next morning (read: afternoon) I took him to his car that he left at the club.

The Triple shot of Greatness.
After a late night at the Comedy Club the bartender/roommate went to Dennys to chill out and not drink ourselves into an oblivion for at least one night. I get an email telling me I made it into the finals for a another comedy competition to win $300 and a hosting gig for the San Antonio Music Awards. Its at a Bar, that I would probably never step into without the offer of booze or cash to perform. At the Prelims I really didn't take it too seriously. I kinda went up there was myslef made fun of the situation, did some material. But mostly raggin on the patrons, decor and the fact that while I was performing there were flat-screen tv's playing music videos of rap/dance music. How could I compete telling jokes while 50 cent was on TV? I thought I did okay, but didn't think another thing of it till I got the email telling me I made the finals. The Finals are next Sunday. The other comics in the finals are all strong, older comics. I think my in will be I know some music, but I'm younger and hipper (maybe?). I mean I'm really not that plugged into the San Antonio Music scene other than the bands Ive opened and worked with at NightRocker. So it will be a nice change of pace and hopefully meet a lot of potential new friends I could hopefully down the line open for. I certainly wouldn't mind more work. Especially since my calendar for April is a little scarce.
