Previously on Oh Yeah!

Finally getting over my sickness. I keep drinking cups of tea with honey to restore whats left of my voice. I really need to take some vocal lessons so I don't strain my money maker, 'cause if I cant talk I cant teach or perform. I don't know how huge the market is for sign language comedians. What am I gonna do, get a job in the field I got my college degree in? Yeah right, My dad would love that (he would actually). Since Ive been sick, I haven't been to too many open mikes, let alone written any new material. I really should have buckled down last week, seeing how I did not teach any classes. This week is starting slow too, all day yesterday I recovered from my SuperBowl festivities. Hung out with other local comics at Bars we frequent and generally getting blitzed on Lonestar tallboys. Right now, its Tuesday morning Im at the LOL, I should be teaching but since the class minimum was not met today. I'm sitting here updating my blog, calling about shows, emailing promoters . Sending out my avails to other bookers. Because If I don't book myself who will? I got to make there's always a next gig. I love having a stacked calendar.

That being said tonight is open mic night. Then Thursday Ill be back at LOL for the All Star show. A Showcase comprised of the Opening acts of the LOL Club. The lineup is Me, Larry & Regan, My Buddy Blair Thompson and the man who put me on TV Mr. Tommy "T-Munny" Munoz. That's a hell of a show, worth way more that $15 is you ask me. Friday and Saturday Ill be in Corpus Christi Tx. The city I had my first road gig at many moons ago. Hopefully Ill make some decent scratch, enough for my late verizon bill and for my car insurance too. Then I can start saving up for next months rent. Im stoked to work with Chris Mata again. He's funny as hell and a good guy. I was lucky enough to open for him the night he headlined at LOL. (Mata was there featuring for Mitch Fatel). A ton of people came out for wednesday show and really had a good time. Im glad I did good that night, which led to these two gigs here this week. Ill see if I can keep up on the consistency.

Then Next week I get to perform where many of my comedy "firsts" occurred. At the Rivercenter Comedy Club in Downtown San Antonio. Ill be there along my Motor Mirth Boss Jay Lafarr and Headliner Kevin Shea. I got to meet Kevin last august when he was in town for NBC's "Stand Up for Diversity" came to town. Ive been a fan for a while now since catching his act on Comedy Central and then later as part of the "Kims of Comedy" DVD. Which has some of my other favorite acts on there with Bobby Lee, Steve Byrne and Ken Jeong. This is going to be a badass show you don't want to miss.

Be a Fan and #FollowMe
