Made my NYC Debut! What a trip. Didn't get to see much of the city, mainly because of a beautiful woman I was sharing the backseat with. Jake and I performed at The Gramercy Theatre in Manhattan, NY. This city is overwhelming, total sensory overload, from the sounds to the activity, its a hive of activity. Upon arriving to the theatre we already had a Authentic New Your experience of a New Your Parking Enforcement Officer getting into a shouting match with the limo driver. When I say Limo driver, I mean the guy cruising us in a Chevy Tahoe not a Limousine...yet.
One Day, that'll be my name on the marquee I tells ya!
This is what the inside of the theater looks like before all of Jake's fans filed in. Jake likes to do a Meet-and-Greet before the show. Its really awkward for me because 99% of them do not know who I am yet. I introduce my self as "Hey guys Im Alex, Im the guy you daon't know yet." I look at the people standing in line engage in wrestling questions, answer questions they have about Jakes merch and what not. Then After the show, people line up again to get more gear, but this time its from us. seeing peoples reaction to me, AFTER my set is amazing. One after One take a card, grab a sticker, buy a T-Shirt, get a Whoopee cushion, etc. Hearing peoples reaction to my show is amazing, One guy in particular
Its pretty cool when I get to share kickass moments like this with friends. In the middle is Cody O'Dell. He's a comic from San Antonio thats been kicking ass locally in NY. He's been living there a little over a year now and I reached out to him to perform with us. It was cool to see him rock that theater full of Wrestling Fans.
Me and Jake, tired as hell from traveling doing meet and greets and kickass show. We were in NYC for 1 night only before I had to fly back to Houston for a Nerdcore Comedy Show at Delta H-Con.
Whenever I hit the road, especially for out of state gigs mile marker gigs, etc. I like to take a picture of my Buddy Tommy Munoz's business card at the venue Im performing at. Tommy was a terrific performer and always hilarious. I'd like to think that it is us thats hitting all these kickass stages all across the nation. #RIPTommyMunoz
